The Temple belongs to the members of the congregation. As such, the facility and its belongings are available for members to use for special occasions, as needed.
If you have a need to borrow chairs, tables or other equipment, Temple members should report their intent to Mike Silver. Please call Mike before taking anything from the Temple, including books. He will record the date and nature of the request. Call Mike again once the item has been returned. The borrower will assume full responsibility and is expected to repair or replace any property that is damaged while it is on loan.
If your need is more involved and includes use of the building, for events such as a wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, baby naming, b'ris or just a simple meeting, these steps should be followed:
- As early as possible prior to the event, submit a written request via the website email address which will be then forwarded to Mike Silver, officers of the board and to the Rabbi.
- The request should include dates, reason for use, basic plans and any other pertinent information.
- The requestee will assume full responsibility and is expected to repair or replace any property that is damaged while the building is in use.
Since we currently have renters that share the building with us, we must be considerate of them and give them proper advanced notice of our needs or plans to use the facility that would differ from our regular usage schedule.
These guidelines are not intended to restrict anyone's use of the Temple, only to insure that proper consideration is given to the members. Any questions should be addressed to the board.
Thank you.
